1951 - Automatic set F-51

In the series of pictures we have now reached 1951. This telephone is made in bakelite and in the standard version was black.
After World War II the telephone companies found themselves in a very difficult situation as there was a lack of material. Close on 80,000 were on waiting-list to get a new telephone installed and because of that the Government established a board (Telefonfordelingsnævnet) whose business was to distribute the scanty resources.
While the Danish telephone factories worked at high pressure in order to restart the production, the telephone companies had to buy what ever they could get on the market abroad.
The set in the picture is manufactured at Kristians Kirks Telefonfabrikker in Horsens and was the first new developed Danish post-war set.
