1943 - CB-set model CB-43 for extension telephone

In the picture you can see a so-called double-switch set from 1943.
If a subscriber had two telephone sets connected to one exchange line, switching and even conversation between the sets where possible with this double-switch set.
A small gearlever-like arm on top of the set has three positions. In position 1 the first set is connected to the exchange line, in position 2 the second set is connected to the exchange line and in position 3 the two sets are connected to each other. Besides this the phone has two bell sets. When there was a local call from the other set the internal bell rang, whereas the external bell set - that you can see in background - only rang when there was an incoming external call.
The set is manufactured by Kristian Kirks Telefonfabrikker in Horsens.
