1912 - Magneto set

The telephone in the picture comes from Fyns kommunale Telefonselskab.

This kind of telephone was used at the many rural exchanges in the island of Funen - among others the Salbrovad magneto exchange, from which it comes.

Contrary to the rest of the country it was the municipalities in Funen that were granted concession of the telephone services. It happened January the 1st 1900, after that the island's 1,736 telephone subscribers were transferred to the co-operative society Fyns kommunale Telefonselskab.

Notice the beautifully binding of the telephone directory or handbook as it was called at that time.

Manufactured by L. M. Ericsson in Stockholm.
