1912 - CB wall set CH-08 with handset

This telephone set was introduced in 1912, and has only been used by subscribers connected to the Copenhagen Main Exchange.

At that time wall telephones were far the most usual, as you had to pay extra to get a table model. At the same time Copenhagen Telephone Company's wall phones were always equipped with fixed microphones and detachable receiver, that meant that you could only use the telephone in a standing posture.

With the introduction of the model in the picture the Copenhagen Telephone Company Ltd. complied with a wish from many subscribers for a wall telephone with a handset and that you could use without having to stand up.

The set is Danish and manufactured at Telefon Fabrik Automatic in Copenhagen.
