1890 - Magneto wall telephone

In the 1890ies the number of subscribers in Denmark steadily grew and these two sets were the most used.

The model to the left is manufactured at Store Nordiske Telegrafselskab's Factory and was the most widespread in the Copenhagen Telephone Company Ltd. (KTAS) area.

Notice the small roll of paper on the microphone. After having used the telephone you tore off a piece and in that way the paper was to prevent infection during the rage of the Spanish flu after world war 1.

The telephone to the right was the most common model in the rest of the country. It is manufactured by Emil Møller's Telephone Factories in Horsens after a Swedish Ericsson model. See 1882 Magneto wall telephone.
